Announcing the 2024 Celebrating Healthy West Virginia Recognitions.

The West Virginia State Department of Health, Bureau for Public Health, Division of Health Promotion and Chronic Disease (HPCD) today at the Glade Springs Resort in Glade Springs, WV, announced 43 organizations as recipients of the Celebrating Healthy West Virginia award, recognizing their commitment to creating environments where everyone has an opportunity to live a healthier life. For 2024, those organizations are:

Creating healthy environments also creates inspiring examples of creativity, resilience, and innovation. Arthurdale Heritage also received the 2024 Inspiring Innovator Award, The Amputee Center received the 2024 Jessica G. Wright Health Equity Award, Rebuilding Together Charleston received the 2024 Community Care Award and the WV National Interscholastic Cycling League received the 2024 Trailblazer Award.

Celebrating Healthy West Virginia organizations receive signage and other materials to promote their commitment to policies, programs, and practices that promote healthier lifestyles.
