Wirt County feeds the community through collaboration, creativity, and flexibility.

When the pandemic derailed our community recognition celebrations last year, Celebrating Healthy West Virginia sent those funds directly into our communities to help provide fresh healthy food to those in need.

We’re so proud of how each of our recognized communities adapted to the ever-changing challenges of the pandemic to meet the health needs of their neighbors. In the letter below, Coplin Health’s Sarah Barton shares how Wirt County used a few simple boundaries and a can-do spirit to inspire creativity and success.
